History

 GV Transport began operations in 1996 operating out of our Somerton depot with a small staff of just 6 people delivering throughout a small portion of Victoria. Over the coming years GV Transport would consolidate its position in retail furniture transport operations.

With the acquisition in 2007 of a Brisbane based Furniture transport company GV Transport now had the ability to open a Brisbane depot and started running weekly services between Melbourne and Brisbane, in this time GV Transport also started doing a small amount of Metro Melbourne deliveries to service our Melbourne based stores.

In 2010 GV Transport was approached by our customers to see if we would open a Sydney depot, once open this depot has gone from strength to strength from running a one-trailer-a-week service, this has grown to be a daily service.

GV Transport had always done a small amount of Containers destuffing but that was all to change in 2015 when we went into talk with some selective manufactures about 3PL warehousing. This has increased to over an average of over 10 container per week.

GV Transport is a family owned and operated business, from humble beginnings GV Transport has grown form 6 employees to 16 full time employee, 5 sub-contractors and 15 trucks.
